What We Stand For

Three truths hold this home together.

Love

The Orphanage is about unyielding love — the kind that protects, provides, and doesn't flinch when circumstances turn cruel.

Refuge

The Orphanage is a safe refuge — a place where wounded hearts find healing, and where every child is seen and known.

Family

The Orphanage is one big family — bound not by blood, but by faith, by purpose, and by a shared belief in possibility.

More Than Physical Care

The reason they do survive.

Kakembo is the primary person who fought to keep these kids surviving in a cruel world. His passionate commitment to love and care for his kids is the reason they do survive.

Food, clothing, shelter, medical needs, and schooling are essential in this home for 33 children.

"Here you will find faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love." — 1 Corinthians 13:13

Bundles of Possibilities

Joy, laughter, and a future being written.

They play together with joy and laughter. They work together. They jostle one another, albeit in defiance at times, and they enjoy school, Bible lessons, and singing together.

Bundles of possibilities — learning to contribute in their Blessed Hope home and in their society.

The Care-Giving Team

It takes love, faith, and emotional resilience.

What is required of care-givers at Blessed Hope? Love, time, hard work, vision, faith, and emotional resilience. Kakembo as Director relies on Nagawa — and on you, who serve by giving to grow the children into loving and responsible adults.

"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them. For the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." — Matthew 19:14
